  • Population in the planning area in the 2020 census was up 14% from 2010, second highest growth of any planning area.
  • Registered households grew 6.8% during the past decade, highest of any planning area.
  • Despite the area growing, the area is aging as baptisms are declining and funerals are increasing.
  • Catholic school enrollment is strong
    • A decade ago, PSR enrollment exceeded day school enrollment by 12%
    • Today, day school enrollment exceeds PSR enrollment by 25%
  • Despite the Catholic population growing, Mass attendance declined 17% during the decade.
  • Currently there are 14 diocesan priests assigned to this planning area.
  • Long term, there may be 18 diocesan priests assigned to this planning area.
